Like many, I voted for Obama and wound up very disappointed. I have never, ever been a supporter of HRC, and was so relieved when she lost - not that Trump won, but that such a corrupt, access selling warmonger as Hillary Clinton did not make it to the world's highest office. I was, and am, a supporter of Bernie Sanders.
If you have read about Arkencide then you know what the Clintons and her minions are capable of. Bernie did not support her of his own free will. Figure it out. All of my Progressive Friends and Activists know.
Someone in favor of social reform, away from the Founders' model of a constitutional republic. They parade as liberals when their policies are in actuality those of socialists. (This of course looks great on paper but actuality is is the stepping stone of communism.) Sanders supporters dreamily explained that "true" or "real" socialism is viable in the form of 'Democratic Socialism' while readily admitting 'National Socialism' (Nazism) was a disaster.
A Progressive believes in taking care of everyone not just themselves. We are students of FDR, Social Security and Medicare. Remember they are entitlements because we are entitled to them. They are just like other insurance policies. That is what they are Insurance Policies. We paid into them our entire lives and we now are legally entitled to reap the benefits. Our Republicans (and some Dino Dems) have been trying to brainwash us into believing they must be cut or privatized. That will only create more profits for their rich contributors and themselves. We are all God's creatures and that is why I believe as a Progressive we must take care of the less fortunate. Others can add to my thoughts.

Yes it does mean to progress but it depends what we are talking about. Just because the years march on does not mean we progress in all things. What one person calls progression depends on the subject at hand. We would not want to make laws for the progression of pedophilia just because we are more liberally minded. We should progress and evolve when it comes to providing better education for all children, better care of our environment for our country, better care for our young and old. To progress and provide when we have not.
I hope to God you are right. I don't see this happening. The de-regulations will only make the rich richer and the poor and middle class poorer. The statistics for the coming future will make at least 10% poorer. I hope he drains the swamp of pedophiles, but if by swamp, some people mean people that do not look like them or not heterosexual, then I think they will not be disappointed. I predict he and the Republicans will push hard to drastically cut Soc. Sec., Medicare and Medicaid. I believed in BO too. Keep your mind and ears open. Peace To You.
