I've seen the post on the farm being in MD but I'm unconvinced mostly because I don't see the same shape in the water. People are saying this is a solved case but is it really? JA writes lock up mom so I would think it would be in VA if that's where his mom is. It's possible his mom helps with the farm if he mentioned her. There is a Tom's Creek in VA.

That would be horrifying but at this point I'm still thinking the simplest explanation is that he's referring to a sow. But those thoughts are worth keeping in the back of your mind, in the event that something else comes up that makes it seem less extreme an idea.

It says piglets, so I think the mom is referred as the one to the piglets, that mom would be separate from the rest of the sows.

It sounds more like a list of pig farm chores, the "lock up mom", would most likely indicate that at night they would lock the sow inside her pen or stall.

Sow was the first thing I thought as well, but maybe its supposed to make you think that, or its just really a pig. Either way its intriguing that JA has a farm to begin with, he doesn't seem like the animal farm type of guy, more so a kid farm type of guy.
