I think it's up to the alleged victim to come forward with proof. It's not like salaries can't be traced back to places of employment. In terms of Statutes of Limitations: SOL for 1st- and 2nd-degree offenses is 15 years. SOL for 3rd- and 4th-degree offenses is 10 years. But the victim alleges the assault caused him PTSD. If this is true, JA could, theoretically, be sued in civil court where the standard of proof is much lower. Given the charges, the jury in this case might still require a high threshold of proof. If the victim wants to speak out, he can and should. Not necessarily here. I think he should contact an attorney and see about the SOL. If criminal charges can be filed, then he should do that. If they can't he should go with a civil case. If he then wanted support, he could come to a forum like this. I don't know what happened. If this is true, it's horrible. It's equally horrible to allege things that aren't true so ... I think if he files charges, he'll gain major validity.

I can't figure out exactly what it is he wants here. Emotional support and/or validation without providing real proof? If it's those things, while we are caring people, this just doesn't belong here on this subverse. If he's holding on to real proof that he was sexually assaulted by James A, and after years, has decided "go public" with it, he needs to stop talking about this online. IF this story is true, and IF proof exists, then publicly dropping partial info is a lawsuit, or assisted suicide, looking to happen. True or false, continuing this here is reckless. I recommend, as this victim's priorities one, two, three - get off the internet, get counseling, get a lawyer.

I hope anyone who was a victim of JA or knows anyone who was even possibly victimized will follow your advice immediately.
