I suspect peter thiel is involved somehow. There seems to be a connection between podesta and the gawker hit piece on thiel. As to why the democrats wanted to attack thiel, i have not found a good reason yet.

The same reason democrats attack conservative blacks. He's gay and conservative. That's a huge threat to the identity politics the democrats depend on to get elected. If all of the oppresed special snowflakes (LBQT, blacks, feminists, etc) realize they're really not, the Democrats are fucked.

And Peter Thiel is just gross for transfusing himself with kids' blood, I don't care if they're still alive and not in cages and he lets them go home with a cookie after donating a pint. Which I seriously doubt, by the way. Ick.
