Wouldn't "linked to ritualistic abuse of children" be a better metric than "linked to pedophilia"?
I agree that it's important not to generalize, but your above suggestion that almost every group has associations with pedophilia becomes a lot weaker if you get more specific. Instead of pedophilia, talk about ritualistic abuse of children. Here, listen to Oprah:
It's important not to generalize, but also to go where evidence leads. If any religion does have a problem with ritualistic abuse, you're doing it a favor by rooting out that evil shit.
