When I was looking at a subway map regarding Pegasus on another thread, I noticed L'Enfant Plaza.
I looked up Pierre L'Enfant, who designed the plaza, and noticed that he was the one who drew up the oft mentioned [street plan] of Washington DC that contains an inverted Pentagram with the White House at its head, known as the L'Enfant Plan. L'Enfant was a high level Freemason. It seems like an odd last name, and translates to Peter the Child/Infant.
I really don't have anything more to add for the moment but wanted to put it out there in case anyone has anything on this.

Good read. I appreciate the explanation about how a broken pentagram is supposedly more "powerful" as well, since I've seen that style pentagram pop up multiple times.
