Here is an audio podcast of Sibel Edmonds (was translator for FBI, whistleblower ) speaking about Denis Hastert case...she describes how, when GOP was trying to impeach Bill Clinton way back when, Bill wanted to collect some dirt on GOP politicians in order to get them to back off. He loosened up rules to allow state to spy on USA politicians but OOPS! got a lot of dirt on democrats along with GOP....she feels that much evidence against Hastert never made it to court because it would incriminate too many.
