Seems like CTR are going all out to erase any references online about Amanda Kleinman. Only a few weeks back, her Myspace page was visible. I can't recall requesting an archive.org save, but it seems to have gone missing somewhat.
Here's a Google cache of Kleinman in one of her performances, cached from the MajesticApe page before it got deleted.
There was a music video where Majestic Ape takes off the mask and it is a man underneath. Not James A. I'm not 100% convinced that it's always the same person.
Since her previous band, Majestic Apes, I think disbanded, her current band, Heavy Breathing, has gone insanely dark. She's assumed the persona Majestic Ape, as seen on the Myspace page. Doing a search term "Majestic Ape Amanda Kleinman" reveals a lot of snippets of small individual results from social media posts where both terms are referenced. The direct references to her online social media pages have since been made private or deleted, but the internet never forgets, so I'm searching through archives.
My previous post where both her real name and stage name are referenced together on a student's Facebook post cannot be dismissed, and if your observation of the video where a man is behind the mask is to be considered, then the ambiguity she's trying to portray with the stage persona is most likely a ruse.
I actually don't remember it specifically and cannot be bothered to watch a bunch of those disgusting videos to find it. But, I promise you, there is a video, one of the later and more expensive/commercial ones, and it ends with the Majestic Ape/masked character slowly taking off the mask and revealing the face of a white man (somewhat handsome, but incredibly creepy). It happens in slow mo, like it's a big shocking revelation at the end of the video.
Also, not sure if this is relevant, but many people have speculated that James A. also poses as Majestic Ape sometimes. Not sure how credible that is. The music video ending is definitely real, I don't have any reason to lie about that.
Thing is, we can't rely on one video to disprove the assertion that Kleinman is Majestic Ape.
From the videos - her stance, the way she holds microphones - all seem to be similar to prior footage of her stage performances.
Submitter's picture above shows similar sunglasses being used over the ski-mask
My research on her over the past couple of hours has brought up many links between her name and stage name, her prior band, and as I'm about to post up, her LinkedIn page where she states in her CV her prior associations with "The Apes" and now "Heavy Breathing".
Perhaps check that the music videos are of one of the members of her band? There are lots of people who have "liked" that group, so any number of them, especially considering my findings of her art page where she's doing terrible "portraits" of people, could simply be given parts to play in the music videos.
The stage persona doesn't lie, though, and the crap she says (and the fact she tried to justify it as a "roasting" on her Facebook page) is damning enough to associate her with some sick, demented people.
I'm not trying to disassociate Kleinman from Majectic Ape. I agree with you that there is strong evidence that she is wearing the mask a lot of the time. I simply asking whether other people sometimes wear the mask, as was done very clearly at the end of one of these sick videos. I'm sure you did great work showing that Kleinman wears the mask, and I am glad that you have your heart in the right place and are doing good research. But that doesn't mean that she only wears the mask. It's at least an open possibility. If you saw the end of the music video, I think you would start to open your mind on this topic.
The fact that majority of the pictures resulting from a search of Kleinman and "Majestic Ape" are of her in that red ski mask is sufficient evidence to draw a conclusion that they are one and the same.

Did we figure out whether Majestic Ape is Amanda or James A or someone else?

Check out the picture on her LinkedIn page with the giant ice-cream: https://i.sli.mg/Xx9sP6.png
As for the man behind the mask, this was mentioned about a month back in the Kleinman discussion here on Voat.
