Yunus won the Nobel Peace Prize in 2006 for making microcredit, a loan system to help rural poor women out of poverty & funds everything through the Grameen Bank. According to WashPo, microcredit doesn't help empower women, restricts them, and gives little freedom. 97% of his loans are given to the women "because they pay back the loans and use the $ to take care of the kids" and are given at very HIGH interest rates.

Then why did he win the Nobel Peace Prize in 2006?

He was even kicked out from his position as head of his bank later but the US wasn't too happy and wanted him to stay. HRC who was Secretary of State wanted to work with Yunus to "discuss an issue" in 2011.

This is what the human trafficking center has to say about microfinance "But, microfinance is not an overarching solution to preventing trafficking. In some cases, interest rates on loans and the pressures to repay create an even more dangerous situation for an already-exploited population."

Even a lawyer at UPenn wrote a paper on why it doesn't work. She says that "borrowers are pushed to take out additional loans from local lenders at high interest rates to meet the initial payments on the microloan. They also seek economic opportunities elsewhere and, as a result, have a high risk of being lured into seemingly legitimate employment positions that operate as a guise for trafficking (https://archive.is/MAoik)) US has similar microcredit finance program called USAID.

And to prove her point, Grameen Bank was accused of verbally harassing ppl for not paying their loans. Some people have been selling organs to pay back microcredit (https://archive.is/AD8PC)).

He tried to bring microcredit to DC but it failed because he couldn't fund raise for it. In 2007, he tried to run for office in Bangladesh and start his own political party until the Bengali gov't accused him of misusing money. He also went to a world bank conference on poverty in 1993 when Clinton just came into office.

"allegations surfaced in a recent Norwegian documentary that in the 1990s a portion of $100 million in aid money from Norway and other countries was transferred from Grameen Bank, which Yunus founded, to one of 30 companies he controls in order to avoid Bangladeshi taxes. It was also alleged that Grameen used aid money to benefit other bank operations unrelated to micro-finance." Norway did an investigation in 2011 but the $$ was traced saying the issue was resolved. WEIRD! Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina also accused him of "sucking blood from the poor in the name of poverty alleviation".

He's been working with the Clintons since 1983 in Arkansas where he learned how microfinance can be used by state. 1/2 people HRC met with gave $$ to the CF.

After giving the funds to Grameen Kalyan, Grameen Bank then borrowed the money back from Grameen Kalyan, putting Grameen Bank in debt to its subsidiary. Yunus said the transaction was done for "tax reasons," but Grameen Bank is a non-profit entity and has no tax obligations. http://archive.is/03xV5

Grameen Kalyan is a health provider that offers health microinsurance and partners with Pfizer Inc, GE Healthcare, and Mayo Clinic. It was established in 1996 after being given 10 clinics by Grameen Bank and Grameen Trust. At least 1.5 million women in Bangladesh receive home health care services provided by female health assistants. 96% of women in Bangladesh give birth at home, in the presence of midwives with little or no formal training. Here's a job listing for a lab technologist at Grameen Kalyan: http://archive.is/4gPns It says applicants must be males between the ages of 20 and 30, and they must include a photograph with their CV. If health care providers are in short supply in Bangladesh (at least to Grameen Kalyan), why limit this opportunity to men between the ages of 20 and 30?

I challenge the characterization that the midwives don't know what they are doing because I think working as practicing midwife and learning from others in the community is plenty of practice and training. The US/AMA/Rockefeller medical slaughter system just wants to line them up to slice them open like sows and displace the midwives as they were displaced in early modern Europe when women did the same there. This is an excellent expose of the attack of specifically male medicine on these women. Same people, Rockefeller agents. Old, would-be-dead patriarchs.
