After studying the McMartin Preschool case it is apparent that the testimony of the kids has to be put aside as it is inconclusive due to poor interrogation techniques. The questioning was leading, yes, but it is also hard to see all of the children lying OR all of them telling the truth (or all being victims). The hard and contextual evidence is not abundant, but it does exist:

-One child's bleeding from the colon (before accusations) while no doctor could identify the cause, which was claimed to be caused by sodomy by one doctor after all prior did not (this would make sense as many doctors would not be looking for it)

-Microscopic scarring of the colon in children after the accusations spread

-Evidence of tunnels under the school

-Some children claimed to having been taken in the tunnels

-Items that can be dated during the time of the allegations found in fill in the tunnels

-A plate with pentagrams drawn on it found under the school

-The death of a police officer who claimed to have found animal remains

-The death of the main accuser prior to the trial after suffering from a mental breakdown and alcoholism (which is used against her credibility)

-The death of a parent an hour after dropping her child off at the school

-The death of one of the journalists who was accused of being in a relationship with the main interrogator (social worker) shortly after the case (also used against him but it is ambiguous as the relationship may have begun as a result of the case)

EDIT: My perception of the children's testimony came from watching the movie Indictment starring James Woods. This movie is clearly and extremely dramatized to stir up sympathy for the accused Buckeys. I didn't know what it was at first but it became apparent quickly. Despite this I watched it until the end. Perhaps after some time I will recant my opinion, from an extremely biased movie, of the interrogation techniques. I'm sure there is some truth to it though.

At least one child had a voice in the archaeological project. Time was running out before the bulldozers would obliterate the site and there seemed to be no trace of the children’s secret room. Joanie (11) 12 years old, was visiting her old preschool with her mother. Dr. Stickel asked her,”Can you tell us where it was that you entered the tunnels and which way you turned?” Joanie gave a meticulous description of every step along the way. Starting from the parents’ dig in the northeast corner of classroom #3, she described being lifted down a hole, turning right, going straight past the roots that brushed your face, turning right again where you were hurried through the long tunnel. “I liked to stop where the pipe was and swing on it. There was a little boy who couldn’t reach the pipe, and sometimes I’d lift him up so he could touch it. But right after that you had to duck down so you wouldn’t hit your head on the cement, then you had to run again to get to the secret room.”"
