This guy is turkish. Many turks visit Cyprus.

Relevant names, possibly a family. Nilay Lawson Nalan Lawson Yasemin Yasi Lawson

when they talk about food this is what is mentioned:

Spaghetti alla puttanesca literally "spaghetti in the style of a prostitute" is an Italian pasta dish invented in the mid-20th century.

Puf Borek (puf böreği) - deep fried water thin dough with cheese or minced meat filling.

Pogača - is a type of bread baked in the ashes of the fireplace, and later on in the oven, similar to focaccia, with which it shares the name, found in the cuisines of the Balkans, Hungary and Turkey.

Imam bayildi Turkish: İmambayıldı, literally: "the imam fainted"; is a dish in Ottoman cuisine consisting of whole eggplant stuffed with onion, garlic and tomatoes, and simmered in olive oil.

Helva - The term helva is used by Turkish people, to describe tahin (crushed sesame seeds), flour, or semolina halva, called tahin helvası, un helvası, and irmik helvası, respectively. Yaz helvası is made of almond or walnut.

Thanks for the definitions/translations, although I'm not sure many Turks describe a melted candle as "pasta"/"puttanesca".

Nilay is a woman, also, btw, so no one is confused...

I learned to make pasta puttanesca like 20 years ago, but I'd guess she is referring to a child whore

Me too. There's absolutely nothing red or melting about it.
