Childhood details and assumed names for James Alefantis (pizzagate)

Stumbled across some other information on comet ping pong owner James Alefantis. This article states he grew up in Buffalo and Washington. (http://archive.is/ystAS)) Little has been known about Alefantis's roots so far. Maybe someone can dig up birth or adoption records knowing he's from upstate new york.

Seems like James Alefantis has used Achilles and Strand as his middle name at various times. http://archive.is/j36ag

I suspect achilles or strand might be the last name on his birth records. Can someone look up his birth records with Achilles, Strand and Alefantis in NY state?

we dont know who his parents are for sure? and if they moved from Buffalo to Wash im sure they had some money and or worked for the gov't

No, we can be pretty sure now. And now that @hunk_quark has indirectly helped confirm the identity of Alefantis' maternal grandparents, even though I don't see any indication of exceptional wealth, I do see some possible influence. His granduncle William Grattan Shoemaker Jr. was important enough of an attorney in Buffalo to have an obituary outside of the obituary section in the Buffalo paper (which I will be sure to include when I do my post with the updated family tree).
