I can understand your hesitance to pledge support before seeing the final product. I do agree that most people will be willing to use it once it has built traction and credibility. This isn't necessarily a sales pitch (I will impress you with that once I have organized the platform). This is more of a gauge of interest.

1) Feature documentation. I planned to just build it out and let the features speak for itself - I am confident in my ability to provide pertinent features, and confident in the power of open collaboration to continually suggest feature additions as time goes on. To give you a general idea - it is going to allow user-submitted posts just as voat/reddit does (albeit with a different deign and less noise). It will also include a section for verifiable evidence organized in a persuasive, beautiful, and succinct manner. I will include embedded chats on a section of the site for everyone to live chat. I will include social sharing buttons that will enable user-submitted posts to be shared on reddit, FB, twitter, etc with the click of a button (this will help expand the information and not just keep it contained, for instance how voat/reddit work). These are just a few of the features I will include.

2) I will be honest that I am not a security expert. However, people are doing research on 4chan (DDos'd several times). People were doing research on reddit (sub completely wiped clean by administrators). Do we know if Voat is using f5 or HAProxy? Yet we are all doing research here. I feel that once it gains traction, then perhaps some fellow citizen investigators will offer their support on the security side of things. What have we got to lose?

3) Permission control is definitely important. Obviously Voat is compromised, so we do not even have it here. My initial thought about shill control is to dedicate a section of the website for us to specifically list their tactics, and provide a list of suspected shills as we have here. The biggest deterrent of shills will be embedded in the design of the site. On Voat, shills have power to upvote their bullshit and downvote the good stuff so that it gets buried away. With the dedicated Pizzagate site, I will build it in such a manner that "old" posts do not get buried after a few days - on the contrary, I will make it so that each important subject has it's own place for ongoing discussion to build onto as time progresses. I would also love to hear other people's suggestions on shill control - as I said, I can't do it all alone.
