Pretty easy to buy bot votes these days. You have to start not looking at upvotes and downvotes as a way to measure whether or not a comment has validity, do your own research, make your own judgement, and don't blindly follow the top upvoted comments everyone.
CCP isn't nearly as impactful as submission voter fraud. Sure, gaming comment votes is active censorship that we should be vigilant against, but you don't see entire nations practically falling to their knees just because one dude had a popular opinion.
When entire teams of educated media watchdogs stage a coup for control over what submissions are allowed to be digested by the layperson... well, that's when you start seeing the kneelers and all of their popular opinions.
When the playing field is level, when everyone has an opinion and a say and a voat, that's when true capitalism takes over... the best stuff rises to the top and the garbage gets thrown out. Also fuck spez.
