There's no evidence that these journalists were investigating human trafficking that I can see, and that whatdoesitmean website seems to actually be a fake news website, they don't include any links to sources or anything. Couldn't find the supposed FSB report that the article is based around, they don't link to it, just to the FSB home page.

You're right. WhatDoesItMean.com is a well-known fake news website. Actually, it's one of the very first. It's fake news that has been spread by unwitting people on conspiracy circle websites for years and years. Thankfully, at least 50% of the people frequenting the discussion places know this and point it out immediately.

Mods should remove this submission unless the OP removes WhatDoesItMean from his source list.

It's easy to tell fake news sites because they never have any links to evidence/sources etc. That's how you can also tell that the MSM stories about Pizzagate being fake are themselves fake, because they provide nothing to back up their claims that it's been 'debunked.' A real story would either go through all the claims and provide evidence and links to the evidence that proved they aren't what people think they are, or are fabrications, or they would provide a link to another article that had gone through that process. I don't understand why so many people seem to fall for fake stuff, don't people fact check? Journalists don't get their information by channeling it from the ether, they have to find out about things from somewhere and so they should always state where that was, even if a source that needs to be kept anonymous, they still say they got it from someone reliable, and that should mean they have the evidence and the proof to back it up if necessary if it went to court or something.

All those idiots commenting on MSM articles saying 'you have no evidence, it's all fake, bla bla' when they clearly haven't so much as glanced at the evidence and the things people have discovered, yet they are very happy to just take the Washington Post/New York Times/BBC etc's word for it that: "it's totally all been debunked, nothing to see here, we don't need to go through the process of actually debunking the allegations or telling you the specifics of those allegations or the reasons for them, we'll skip all that (who has the time these days?! Tee tee!) and just tell you it's fake because that's easier than trying to disprove something that's true. And all these many thousands of people across the world desperately concerned about a huge child trafficking ring after having found stacks of evidence suggesting its existence? They are ALL confirmed mentally ill/Russian agents/trolls who do nothing all day but make up imaginary stories to tell each other about child abuse for fun. You needn't bother checking any of that out, just trust us. WE are the only guardians of the Truth. Give us a few weeks and that will be enshrined in law, and hey presto! You will never need to be burdened with having to think for yourself again! See how much your government cares for you?"

Makes me sick.
