According to a Foxnews article from dec 5th, Comet Ping Pong has 20 employees and a general manager.
Ive not been there, but imho that sounds odd.
How many guests do they serve a month? How many food/drinks they sell? How many tables are there? How many food do they deliver? Whats their revenue? Can they afford rental and wages by running a fastfood place like it is with 20 employees, given the average wage in D.C in fastfood restaurants, the prices on the menue and the rental for the place?
Dig deeper. IRS might be interested. #al

Good catch, but in another article Alifante claims to have FORTY employees. Comet is closed weekdays and open 5:00-9:30 M-Th and 11:30-9:30 Friday and Saturday. Forty employees is a huge number even for a full time restaurant that holds +200 customers at once.

And in an even earlier interview, he boasted 70. He was then talking about Buck's too, IIRC. Still way too high. Consider he could share employees between the two shops to keep the head count under control. No way can I reconcile his conflicting claims.
