One of the following reasons:
* They are into it -> not very likely
* They are being blackmailed -> very likely. I'd also say this was the case with Jimmy Saville, and now The Ring, a supposed ring of pedos, hold BBC hostage. Same with WP and NYT.
* They dismiss the proof, because it's chaotic.
Yes guys, we didn't do a good job with the follow up on the emails. Example: the sketches that look like the Podesta brothers were made by private investigators. We are very close to blowing something up here, but we have to finally at least prove that the Scotland Yard held them in secret. Yet nobody is dealing with the issue.
There are more minor neglected issues. People concentrate on sensationalism too much.
