Hi, I see that @szyk and @WatcherWatcher were interested into trying to dig into Alefantis' early years. They posted some helpful links, such as obituaries for those who turned out to be Alefantis' likely grandparents.
Here are their posts: https://voat.co/v/pizzagate/1439057 and https://voat.co/v/pizzagate/1439624
Using the obituaries, and getting on Ancestry and Newspapers.com, I was able to find out a bit about Alefantis and construct a family tree with some short branches. My frustration is that on his mother's side I could not trace him past his mother, and on his paternal side I only traced back to a set of great-grandparents.
Here is the family tree: http://docdro.id/IRO6ywJ
I found several articles in the Newspaper Archives on Alefantis. It seems he graduated from St. Francis High School in Hamburg, NY in 1992, along with his cousin who is the same age. Alefantis' aunt and uncle also worked at the high school.
Here's those articles in PDF form:
http://docdro.id/zvwAS92
http://docdro.id/qmOdPoD
http://docdro.id/DIyw2z6
Also, there was an 1968 article which mentions and includes a photograph for James' grandmother Helen Pappas Alefantis:

I hope this helps in some way. My life was ruined by a pedo in the family so obviously I want to see justice done here. Since I have Ancestry and Newspapers.com subscriptions and have experience with searching them, if anyone needs some genealogical research or a specific newspaper article or a Newspapers.com search, please let me now.

Ok, I think I've made an error here, unfortunately. Part of the reason may be some confusion on when his parents moved to the D.C. area. Someone had posted an interview that suggested he grew up in the D.C. area and "came back" often to the Buffalo area. I will try and pin point where he may have gone to school in the D.C. area (someone said Georgetown Day School?). Thanks for pointing this out.

Thanks for this, I need to go back and look through what I found since I'm also not seeing James in the articles I posted here. I wouldn't have stated that he went to St. Francis without evidence but I see why you're not seeing it in these articles. I'm going to back through other articles I saved from Newspapers.com and other sources to remind myself what my evidence/rationalization for that was. The answer may be in another article I hadn't uploaded, and if so I'll upload that article.

Dead grand0arents are public record on Ancestry.com, as are obituaries and survivors, so def cool and legit. You can make a family treee private, obviously this one was not. Be gone, none of your sabotage needed.

Thanks.

Something interesting but perhaps unconnected: Since I tried but was unable to figure out the identity of Alefantis' maternal grandparents, at one point I tried googling "Shoemaker James Alefantis" to see if I could turn up something. I wasn't able to, but I did get results that mentioned James Alefantis and the Shoemaker-Levy Comet. However none of the results suggested that Alefantis' mother had any relationship to the naming of the comet, and the interview here http://metroweekly.com/2015/04/from-scratch-james-alefantis/ suggests that Alefantis had something else other than Shoemaker-Levy in mind when he named Comet Ping Pong.

I couldn't find the link right now, but I came across evidence that the diocese where he attended hs was successfully sued for pedo priests

I notice BIG CHEESE LLC (legal entity behind Comet and Buck's) does not appear in Corporate Entity lookups in either Wash DC or Maryland. Very odd.

He states in an interview that I'll add here in a second that he went to Georgetown Day School. This is different than what you found.

Ok, I've read the interview, it sounds like this could be the James Alefantis. In the interview he states this: "Yeah, I loved ping-pong. We played it at my family’s lake cottage in upstate New York, because my parents are from outside of Buffalo." We could be on the right track, although it doesn't explain him saying he dropped out of high school (but I actually didn't find proof of graduation, only that he'd made it to his senior year) or that he went to Georgetown Day School. I will still have to do more digging.
CaroleLandis ago
Yes, I see that. I will try and find alternate information on any James Alefantis growing up in the D.C. area in Ancestry and Newspapers.com. I do note though that the NY James Alefantis has general D.C. area connections later in life as NY James Alefantis' parents divorced in Fairfax County, Virginia. But I will keep digging. I don't want to say that what I compiled is definitively the James Alefantis, but I will say I was building on what others have found.

@RebelScum found that the Georgetown Day School was involved in at least two molestation and CP scandals.

Well in this article Alefantis claims he attended Georgetown Day School: http://metroweekly.com/2015/04/from-scratch-james-alefantis/ Are we sure we have the right guy?
Also his YouTube impromptu interview he claims he was a HS dropout?
Yuke ago
Didn't he say that he dropped out of college, not high school? I've tried searching for college links but I am coming up short so far. Help with that would be great. I think the key to Mr Alefantis' regarding the claims laid against him are these 'missing' years from college to about the age of 30 when he was working in restaurants in DC.
CaroleLandis ago
Hmm...I will try digging some more in Ancestry and Newspaper.com to see if I can find another James Alefantis growing up in the D.C. area and see what I come up with.
Edit - Thank you for that.

Amazing how powerful he became for being a high school dropout. I think he had to blow some pretty powerful people to have that many political connections. The pizza business is a pretty competitive business and most pizza places fail in less than a few years. He has competition just a couple doors down, ironically also with rumors of pedophilia.
Check out this weird Comet Pizza promo video from 2015. Bryce, the lispy manager, discusses how Comet is about EMPOWERMENT. There's also bonus footage where you get to see Besta Pizza's storefront - it's a tiny, carry-out only shithole.

While this is worth looking into, first and foremost, remember that SOCIAL contacts are most likely to bear fruit. The last thing we want is to put some assholes Nana in the national spotlight.
CaroleLandis ago
True, I understand. Researching family background is what I'm good at, but I do get that social connections are preferable.

Wow, if his legal name is really James Alefantis it's a bizarre coincidence that it sounds like J'aime les enfants given the Pizzagate circumstances

Maybe his parents were satanic pedos, alot of these cults are intergenerational

So this is a pseudonym for what? "Twiglets free Dry, over salted, burnt-tasting nobbly things which resemble twigs." "Erdnusspuffs free Produced on the island of Taiwan using nanotube injection technology, this high-quality startch product consists of over 97% air. Robustly seasoned with the essence of real peanuts." “sticky as a long, slow summertime fuck” There are some pretty weird things in that Dr.Pong site. One link I checked out led to a pharmaceutical thing. So a ping-pong place, a DJ service that caters to all night raves. And there is a link to a pharma site in the link list called "Othergallery.com Othergallery"

Since I was unable to find her parents, I've no idea.

If you were able to find an obituary it would probably tell you where she was buried.
