with the info she would have it would be obvious who she is. I would say the best thing would be if she somehow had a family connection with a police officer to give it to them. That way you know you have someone on your side.

Good-sounding idea meant well but going to the police did nothing for the Hampstead children, Hollie Greig, Melanie Shaw, Cathy O Brien, David Shurter and all the others,,,,

I agree with what you are saying, but here is my point.

Most police officers are not evil people looking to cover this stuff up. The problem is when this type of information reaches higher in the food chain and there is an effort to obfuscate. Lower level officers are probably kept out of the loop, and don't want to go digging for fear of pissing off a superior. BUT, what if the person submitting the info is the officer's niece, or granddaughter, or lifelong friend's daughter? Then there is a personal interest in knowing what comes of that information. The officer is more likely to try to stay in the loop and suspect a cover up when things start to get weird. I'm not saying a cover up wouldn't still happen, but it would at least put a few layers of protection in there.

True. It's not black and white. I made it sound a bit that way - sorry. And yes, there are loads of good cops, Let's hope some of them start talking - I know a man who did, It didn't help his income but it sure helped his sense of personal rectitude and honour and he is widely loved and respected and honoured for doing the right thing. And he would NEVER have had it any other way......sleep at night and all that.

Others are less fortunate/flexible due to personal circumstances So thank you for making that point.
