If pedophilia is a sexual orientation and it is genetic in nature, then we'll eventually be able to turn it off using technology like CRISPR. What's really interesting about that is that we'll also be able to turn off homosexuality (or for that matter, heterosexuality). That's going to be an interesting conversation this country is going to have if this does end up being the case.
It is not genetic. It is a naturally occuring wiring problem in the brain. The same way that people find feet to be sexy and have a foot fetish. In our brains, the sexual stimulation portion is next to the portion that controls and feels our feet. One simple wire gets crossed in brain development and you get turned on by feet. As far as I know, there is not a genetic connection. Now there could be a genetic connection in the pattern in which a brain is wired throughout family lines but it is not dependant on a gene outright. You would not be able to isolate this because hormones dictate wiring as we grow up. A homosexual is not gay from conception but rather the wiring as we grow causes it. Again, certain wiring patterns may exist with defects in family genetics but I do not believe it can be changed or isolated on a gene level.

We need to stop calling it child porn. Porn is between consenting adults. Children cannot consent. This is child rape and child sexual abuse.
