My old company was a MSP for IT for tons of wealth management and asset management companies. They would get scammed for hundreds of thousands or in a few cases millions from direct fraud with people getting their cell phones spoofed, or emails hijacked thru social engineering.
We would contact the FBI for these cases, and in the 7-10 or so that we send to them, the FBI NEVER recovered the money and never caught the people doing it. They are useless.
