The Roman Salute was also... Roman. And was used by many other European nations at the time, including America. Did that matter?

Liberal behavior makes perfect sense when you assume their goal is the destruction of European culture, heritage and genetics, and that everything they say is merely a pretense to justify actions towards achieving that end. Many of them don't even deny that anymore. Others still deny it, and may not even realize what they're doing; but even so, their behavior only makes sense when viewed through this lens.

I'm dubious about Rome ever using that salute. It's a modern interpretation/recreation and Hollywood perpetuated it.

Truth is, we were using the Bellamy salute before the Nazis.

It goes back before modern era. Renaissance era art depicts romans throwing the straight arm salute. See 'The Oath of the Horatii'.
