Virtually nobody other than the offenders themselves (many of them self-avowed communists, I will remind you) disagrees with these fundamentals. Even the most ardent communist regimes always spin their ownership of the government as ownership by the proletariat, and don't dare openly admit that they are breaking the social contract.
Also, a lot of regulations and laws are created by these offending corporations, e.g. regulations that are easy for a large corporation with a compliance department to navigate, but cripple smaller companies. These make up a very significant portion of the disputed legislature, and they are generally only being pushed by the offending companies. Nobody else would go to congress and advocate for, say, H1B visas. The extent to which the amount, type and scale of regulations is disputed is very significantly inflated by these offending players who own the government, and this applies to many domains including tech, environment, etc.
