Gone is the golden age of online communication: Where the only people who had one used it strictly for school or work in an era where school and work were competitive and demanded people of merit instead of diversity quotas.
As such, the majority of people were white and respectful with one another.

That said...the most "cozy" the net has ever been for me. RPG scene in the late 90's early 2000's. People really tried to be good to one another. I've never seen anything like it before or since.
