Consider making a global "no porn subs" rule.

Not some kind of puritanical general ban on even occasional tits and/or ass (to make a point or something). Just subs dedicated to porn / focused on porn posting. They're out of place here.

But that''s censorship!

The internet is full of porn. Porn is not in need of political asylum. You can find and post it all over the place. Even the scummy and illegal varieties (sadly) have plenty of dedicated websites.

So why post it here? What is even the motivation? Why make the effort, given the minimal audience for it here? This is not a matter of censorship. But of staying on point, and getting rid of junk and spam that just doesn't belong. Not to mention some of it could be legally compromising... and for what?

Awkward edge case: /v/DeepFake. Lots of porn, obviously, but technically more than that. Certainly has the potential to be used for much more. A bit sad that most people threw a fit over the porn instead of seeing the potential. Also arguably a political issue.

Alternatively: Differentiate between NSFW and PORN

Nobody's talking about taking your precious porn away from you. All I suggested was to maybe put your dick away while at school, in the library, at work, and on Voat. Because none of those are really the right place for that sort of thing. There are plenty of websites and venues dedicated to, and far more suitable for, taking care of your hormonal urges.

Nothing wrong with explicit content as long as there's some point to it. But subs that are just for posting porn without rhyme or reason... what's the point of doing that here? Who comes here for that sort of thing?

All they do is clog up the feed with unsolicited smut. And the only way to filter it also filters a lot of other "mature" or "not work friendly" posts, many of which are actually interesting and relevant.

Are you seriously incapable of grasping the conceptual difference between filtering spam and censorship?
