There are Turings which are as simple as clicking on a box. Easy for a human to move a mouse to a specific spot and click. Not so easy for a bot (box location is randomized).
I agree Turings are not wanted, but given the bot infestation they are a necessary evil IMO.

I'm open to solutions. We have a shillbot problem.

True, but that's already happening now.

Which is why I suggested it could be a moderator implemented feature. Some threads are currently infested with shillbots.
It could also be implemented if you get a certain number of downvotes, your next X number of posts require a Turing.

I prefer determined humans, so a bit of deterrence is a good thing IMO. Start with a simple Turing first. You can always make it harder.

So, Bots are a thing, and they are causing problems. As RickFeynman suggested, the easy fix is a Turing test.
If desired, it could set up so mods can turn on and off, also could be something for new accounts. Tests could also be varied and/or rotated.
Global Turing tests could be turned on/off if Voat needs to conserve bandwidth.
I guess Voat is moving up in the world, the need for this feature is evidence!
Thanks for all you do!
