I own both as well, but I'd reach for my .357 before I reach for my .44. The ammo is more customizable for the .357, but you're absolutely right that defensive technology is changing everything. Have you seen those kickass rounds that shoot that high impact netting that slices through targets like they were made of paper? Those rounds come in a .357 variant. I plan to have a bunch of them one day when I can afford it.
