Pick one: .357 magnum or .44 magnum (gunsreallyarecool)

Leaving aside other firearms. If you were going to pick only one rimmed round useable in both revolvers and some long guns, which of these two rounds would you choose and why. I used to lean towards the .357, but with the growth of defensive technology, I think I am leaning more towards .44 now.

I know some guys are into rimming, and rimjobs, but I'm just not one of them. I'll take a fast-acting ACP every time.
