Pick one: .357 magnum or .44 magnum (gunsreallyarecool)

Leaving aside other firearms. If you were going to pick only one rimmed round useable in both revolvers and some long guns, which of these two rounds would you choose and why. I used to lean towards the .357, but with the growth of defensive technology, I think I am leaning more towards .44 now.

.357 magnum, hands down. It's my everyday carry for one, and for two I have a Henry Big Boy chambered in the same caliber and it's a really fun gun to shoot.
