His posts are always feature characters from gaming series and he's actually unusually respectful of rule 2, tagging a game name in the title even when it's a very popular character. It's alright to not like his content and downvoat it, but saying he violates rule 1 or 2 is nonsense.
this post. this post violates those rules and should be deleted, user warned. if I was talking about those that's where I would have posted. you have a lot really worthless people targeting this sub simply because it a default. letting it happen is the worst thing you can do
Meta posts have been allowed in /v/gaming for a long time. We used to redirect them to a dedicated meta discussion sub, but people complained that we were quietly ferreting away discussion about /v/gaming where it would be less visible. And I agree. It makes more sense to me that discussions about /v/gaming always be allowed in /v/gaming where everyone can weigh in on them. You might not have seen this post or commented here if it was tucked away in a dedicated meta sub.
You know, you have a good point. I think it's worth revisiting with the community how meta posts should be handled and whether the language in rule 1 is enough to permit meta posts or if we need to explicitly allow them.
I appreciate you weighing in here. We've done a lot to clarify the subverse rules to be as specific and predictable as possible; I didn't expect to uncover any more unaddressed gray areas but I think you have a valuable point worth addressing.

that's nice, but this post is NOT discussing gaming. you're skirting the issue. its off topic and pushing an agenda.
