Instead of listening of opinionated people, did you check the influence on the front page? I mean data-metric have no agenda to push, nor need a sense of personal entitlement. Because the down-vote available to all seems to make the frontpage more variable and diverse.

And the 20 CCP limit, make people less interested into posting or reading link.
