100 CCP is yet again a requirement to downvote and changes I pushed yesterday are now reverted. I spent about 6 hours yesterday reading your comments on my announcement and I think it's pretty clear that majority of you had concerns with removing restrictions. Back to the drawing board I guess. Please accept my apologies for causing the mess.

What about making CCP sub-specific? You can downvote in a sub if you have 100+ CCP in that sub.

So all the [mens rights activists, feminists, queers, homophobes, racists, etc.] can get together and upvote their own stuff but you can't downvote it you happen to see "N....r steals money from old ladies purse - v/porchmonkey" while you're browsing down v/all or see a link to it in v/fuckracism ? Doesn't that go against the idea of an open community and forum? I could see that causing issues, especially in communities like /v/askvoat where there is an agenda being fostered by a particular moderator.

Well of course they can upvote their own stuff. The idea is that it shouldn't affect other subs.
I don't know how it would work out with /v/all though.

You block /v/porchmonkey and it's done.

It's not a real community (at least not yet)

I actually really like this idea since it means that people casualling other subs won't get to just push their opinion in something they aren't part of.
The idea of making down votes sub specific if one I could really stand behind.
