While I personally dislike needing a certain number of votes (voats?) to do anything on a website, and I was quite happy about the change, I'm also quite happy to see that you have listened to your users. I might be disappointed in this revert, but overall I feel you are doing what you feel is best for the community - and that is infinitely more important than nitpicky details like this.

To be honest, the inability to downvote is a fairly minor thing. I had at first felt some contempt over this, but after thinking about it and seeing what others had to say, it's really not that bad. It's certainly not as bad as some websites (where you can't post comments, only posts, or some weird things like that; I believe Stack Overflow only allows you to answer questions and not comment until you get a certain number of posts).

Thank you for listening to the community, and genuinely looking out for us. Whether this revert is a mistake, or if I'm just an asshole who wants to downvote people who I strongly disagree with, I think most of us can agree that you're taking this website in the right direction.
