Buckle up. Voat is currently being hit with a malicious attack. This couldn't have possibly happened at a worse time for me personally and I may have to put Voat into lockdown mode or even set it to Read Only. Perhaps we will resurrect the
bit privilege checking goat (you know you miss having your bits privilege checked).
I'm hoping that the code is in a good enough place to handle a majority of the incoming traffic, but expect slow responses.
I will try my best to keep Voat online. Wish me luck.

I'm still waiting for the main attack. Every DDOS we've been hit with before follows a pattern of probing exploits, quiet time, then the full attack. So we will see, but waiting is the hardest part

As of now I feel they've postponed. After taking us down two times the morning of this announcement, I've seen no further activity. A temporary win I suppose.

Since all you saw/heard from is little sprout mouthpiece of GeorgieSoros...this adds credence to the theory that Georgie has passed on back after or around that "heart attack" announcement... closely aligned to that time his donation of $18Bil went to his many NPO's and the rest was distributed around to his kids = Sounds/Reads like a Last Will and Testament to me(and others).
Plus his appearance at DAVOS-event was only filmed on a person's cell phone sitting below and left of podium, in a room with a different background from ALL other speakers. I guess the press all went out to lunch that day together and NONE could be bothered to cover Soros speech in person... oh, and BTW...the speech was verbatim a speech he gave before because spouse and I heard it. Oh, and international press ALLLLLL used the same screen capture photo of Georgie from the single cell phone recording...I was astounded at the time. Of course now I cannot get the same result as that ditto-photo was toooo obvious.
