We are aware of the issue and we will re-enable registrations in the next few hours. Sorry about the inconvenience, but we can always blame it on the alpha, right? Right?

Edit: registrations should now be working again.

Agreed. It's working great on mobile. Now I just wish there was an iPhone app. :-/
