They would eventually figure it out but by then millions could have been dead, chaos every where, damage done... I wouldn't put anything past these evil monsters, look what they do to kids for fun.
Not unless you look for it specifically. An autopsy of an elderly person from a nursing home is not a murder investigation, so they wouldn't test for it.

I've known a lot of elderly people who died. None of them were autopsied.
