Yes, it is not good. It is not (IMO) a sin, but it is stupid. Don't deface your natural body with permanent graffiti. No one should ever have to point out that it is foolish to do so.
95% of people claiming to be Christian do not follow the guidelines stated by Jesus. A very large chunk of those aren't even Christian, whether they're Catholics, "modern" Christians, or whatever. Even actual Christians fail to be perfect, but I think there's a difference between getting tattoos before you become Christian, and getting them after. It displays a certain level of insincerity.
Ok, so to clarify, again, I have no tattoos, would not get a tattoo, but appreciate talent. The tattoo I saw was incredible, doesn't mean I would want or recommend it.
Well, graven images was one of the commandments, whereas mixed fabrics was a Mosaic law. Huge difference. The laws from Moses (ordinances) were done away with, whereas the commandments of God were not
The one I mentioned about women being quiet in church with their hears covered is from Corinthians, new testament. Seems like you barely know your own book.
So you pick and choose which ones are gods laws and man's laws? The entire bible was written by man, organized by man, translated by man, revised by man... God himself wrote zero of the bible. For the record, I believe in a single, all powerful god. I just stopped picking sides (aka left the church)
No, there clearly is a difference between Gods laws and mans laws. I don't belong to any 'denominational or non-' church either. Last I went to one was in 2005.
I do not believe in "Once Saved, Always Saved." There isn't a one-time repentance and then you're free to do whatever you like. Jesus said that blaspheming the Spirit of God (Holy Spirit), you would lose salvation forever.
One of the reasons that God says not to have any graven images, is so that the image itself is not worshiped. Maybe a better way to say what I said before, is that the ordinances of Moses were fulfilled. They are not binding. Even still, Pauls words in the New Testament are not laws written by Gods own hand.
These are the questions that lead me to leave the church. Ask 10 pastors, get 10 answers. And ALWAYS using the bible to prove the bible. The more I learn about the deceit of the jews, the less I want anything to do with anything they wrote.
The only place is says that Jews are god's chosen people is in the book they wrote about themselves. Even Jesus called them a den of vipers.
And of their father the devil... and people didn't speak openly, met secretly... 'for fear of the jews'. It was things like this that led me to leave the church when the church I was going to at the time.

I've never seen a tattoo that didn't look stupid.
Like a bunch of bumper stickers on a Bentley. lol

I saw a hyper realistic tattoo of Jesus and the 2 thieves on the cross once that was incredible.
This is a bad thing?

Does your wife wear earrings?

I believe she did, but that was 20 years ago. Not her only transgression.

Seems SUPER TENSE around here lately.

Of course it’s not a bad thing. There’s just a handful of old crusty pukes that are on a bitch fest on QRV.

If it doesn't look stupid yet it will in a few years when the color fades.

Graven images?
23156616? ago
A graven image is a representation of Heaven, Hell or it’s hosts. Try again.
23147432? ago
Do you use cash? Graven images...
23147373? ago
And there it is. The BuyBull mentality. Semitic religions and their followers have NO PLACE on this planet.
23148142? ago
Exactly. Worship Trump or GTFO.

*eats shellfish and wears mixed fabics. Christians are always picking and choosing which laws they want to follow. Hypocrites.

Haha, ok. Keep picking and choosing. Here's another for you. Do your women cover their heads and keep quit in church?
23148879? ago
Still.. same answer. No graven images was a commandment of God. The others were ordinances of Moses

So, in your eyes, and since you're the final judge, if someone doesn't see it the way you see it, then they don't know "their own book"... Gotcha
23150013? ago
You thought the commandment for women to be quiet in church was from Moses' law.
23150126? ago
The point is, it's still a man's law

So you only follow the ten commandments? No other biblical teaching is binding for you? And you don't see how that is picking and choosing?
Also, if it is the case that the 10 commandments are the only binding laws, if you break them, do you lose your salvation from Jesus?
23149581? ago

So it's a works based salvation then. Interesting.
