Enoch is not an explanation of the world before humans, though, its specifically centered around fallen angels coming here and interacting with humans.
I've never read it extensively enough to remember anything from it. Does it mention the fallen angels giving knowledge to humans (engineering, sciences, technology, etc)?
Isn't the world order also ruled by a council of 9 fallen angels or something? Again, my memory fails me, but I seem to remember bits and pieces.
Yes, it goes into detail of which fallen entity imparted which technologies/teachings.There is a council of 9 but there were a good deal more fallen Watchers. 200 in all with a leader named Shemyaza who is perhaps identifiable with Lucifer.
Yes, all of that. It mentions they give secret knowledge to women, show men how to extract metals from the earth and how to war. The sons of the angels (giants/nephilim/titans) began devouring all the things of the earth, and when those ran out they started devouring men themselves.
Men sent Enoch to beg God for justice. God told Enoch to tell the Watchers (fallen angels) that their sons will all be destroyed, he told Enoch the Watchers will petition God for mercy and he will deny them.
Enoch is transported to a palace that is described as icy/snowy (Antarctica?).
He also takes a tour through all the "mechanisms" of the solar system and describes them in ways we didn't even know until "science" told us so. The motions of the sun and moon and stars. That planets revolve on an axis, that thunder is a result of lightning and the speed of sound. It's incredible. I started reading it all literally. That the earth is all some kind of giant mechanical apparatus.
Just read it, it's not all that long, it will blow you away.
