All Scripture is God-breathed and is useful for teaching, rebuking, correcting and training in righteousness, 17 so that the servant of God may be thoroughly equipped for every good work.
Matthew 7:7
"Ask and it will be given to you; seek and you will find; knock and the door will be opened to you.
So you expect everything to be in one handy book compiled by others for your convenience, rather than having to seek Truth for yourself? Even though that handy Book and the main character in it (Jesus) Himself refers to scripture that's not in that handy Book?
Jesus is the Living Word. Stop treating the Bible as an Idol. Jesus is the Way, the TRUTH and the Life. If you're not seeking Truth, you're not seeking HIM. The ONLY Way to everlasting LIFE.
1:1 Implies restoration during tribulation - not congruent with scriptures.
1:8 In conflict with the doctrine that peace was made at the cross. Also, in the last days tribulation will increase for the righteous - this "verse" seems to dispute that.
2:2-3 Appears to contradict 2 Pet 3:3-7
5:4 Is an admonition to some unknown party - this is very irregular relative to the scriptures (i.e. authentic ancient writings by God-fearing Jews)
6:3 Semjaza seems to be listed as the leader of the angels, which is not scriptural
6:3,8 None of these angels are mentioned in the Bible
8:1 Azazel isn't even listed in 6:8 as one of the angels that fornicated with women
8:3 Araqiel and Shamsiel aren't listed in 6:8 either
10:2 Enoch allegedly wrote about Noah, even though the Bible teaches that Enoch was taken up to heaven years before Noah was born.
10:4-6,12 Implies angels can be bound & hid in holes under rocks. This is contrary to scripture.
10:8 Ascribes all the sin of the fallen angels to one named Azazel - not scriptural.
10:15-11:2 Seems to imply that permanent restoration took place after the flood - clearly not true. It seems the true author of this book confused scriptures pertaining to the future restoration.
13:5-6,14:4-5,7 Implies fallen angels can't talk to God - this contradicts Job. Also implies that angels were repentant, but weren't received back by God - very strange doctrine.
14 Gives a very strange description of Heaven that conflicts with many scriptures
15:8-10 Very strange doctrine about "evil spirits" proceeding from unredeemable giants
17-18,21,23 Gives a very strange description of the earth & universe which is clearly not true. Also alludes to the ancient model of astronomy that held that there were 7 stars (the closest planets) which burned like the sun (they don't.)
19:3 Discredits all other prophecy about the consumation of the ages.
20 Lists strange angels not in scripture, and incorrectly assigns the roles of Michael (the warrior) and Gabriel (the messenger)
21:7-10 Seems to contradict Biblical descriptions of the present & final judgement places for the fallen angels
22 Contradicts the Biblical descriptions of past, present & future dwelling places for the righteous who die
32:2-6 Seems to imply the Garden of Eden was still in existance after the Flood
33:1-2 Says Heaven rests on a foundation that is at the Eastern edge of the earth
33:3 He claims he counted the stars & individually mapped them, which is impossible scripturally (& scientifically)
34 Says the winds come out of a "portal" at the Northern edge of the earth
36:3 Says the stars come out of portals at the Eastern edge of the earth & move West
38:5-6 Contradicts Daniel & other prophecies about the Mellinial Reign
39:1-2 Very strange implications here about the "seed" of angels dwelling with men at the end... this contradicts the scriptures
40:7 Talks about the "Satans" - plural, different than the Bible, who gives that name to only one fallen angel. Also, implies Satan can't stand in God's presence, contrary to Job.
40:9 Once again mixes up the roles of the 2 Archangels & adds more names in. Michael's role in scripture is related to conquoring nations & fighting spiritual wars, while Gabriel's relates to bringing messages & visions to people.
41:1-2 Says the Kingdom of God is divided - it's not & can't be scripturally. Also describes sinners being repelled from a mansion, which is also not scriptural, unless you look at a parable Jesus told, which was not intended to be literal.
41:4-5 Says the sun, moon, winds, etc. are stored in chambers & released at appointed times.
41:6-7 Implies the sun & moon move opposite of each other
43:1-3,44 Very weird model of the nature of stars & lightning
47:4 Says God requires the blood of the saints... very strange
51:1 Says Sheol & Hell will give back to the earth, which isn't scriptural - also Hell is a NT term, not OT
51:2 Disputes the Biblical doctrine that we are chosen. (We don't have to wait until Christ's return to be chosen.) This isn't scriptural.
It doesn't go against the Bible, it goes against your limited understanding of the Bible.
Most Christians don't even understand the Truth of what the Bible says about Moses and Solomon. Based on your response I'm guessing you're one of them. People take evil in the Bible as good because its in the Bible and they don't understand what it's telling them. They treat the Bible as an idol and put their faith in their own limited understanding of the Bible rather than in Jesus. Jesus is the Living Word of God, but many consider the Bible the living word of God, even though it never makes that claim and neither did God. Jesus is the Living Word!
The Bible tells a story that many completely miss because they think they're being evil if they question something or someone in the Bible or more accurately their interpretation of it.
How many people pray God will give them understanding of the Bible, but if the slightest thought comes to their mind in contradiction of something they think they understand of the Bible they dismiss it as as evil?
Ask and you will receive.
Jesus is the Way, the Truth, and the Life. If you're not seeking TRUTH, you're not really seeking HIM.
The inconsistencies are very important, same as with the Bible. I never said everything in the book of Enoch is True did I? But it's important.
The same with the Old Testament, but I bet you don't even realize that.
"The mystery of the kingdom of God has been given to you, but to those on the outside everything is expressed in parables, so that, ‘they may be ever seeing but never perceiving, and ever hearing but never understanding; otherwise they might turn and be forgiven.’”
Humble yourself and pray for God to reveal the Truth in the Bible to you. Just don't reject HIM, the TRUTH because it's not what you thought you had figured out. You know, just like the non believers when Jesus came in the flesh. They rejected Him because they thought they understood the scriptures and that they were infallible.
God doesn't like being locked in a box, even one that's a book.
I believe the Bible is the infallible, inerrant, plenary word of God. The book of Enoch I take with a grain of salt. Not only that but the Council of Trent said I must believe these Apocraphyl books or I am anathema.
Since you seem to view yourself as an authority on scripture, you should be able to answer these questions.
Why was Moses banned from entering the promised land?
Who is "The Rock" according to scripture?
What did Moses claim later as the reason God banned him from the land?
Who is the only person is the Bible to tell God to blot his name out of His book?
Who is the accuser?
Who did Jesus say will stand and accuse?
Moses introduced the Law that condemns to death, sinned against God and blamed everyone but himself. He introduced a ransom they had to pay for their lives. Jesus introduced Grace and Mercy and everlasting Life. He never sinned but took the sin of everyone else on Himself and died for them, paying the ransom for us.
You follow Dogma anon, not Truth. Jesus is the Way, the Truth and the Life. If you're not following Truth, you're not following HIM.

Jesus is the Word anon. He is all you need. He is the Way, the Truth and the Life.
If you believe He came in the flesh and died for your sins, then yes you have Him because He Truly came in the flesh and died for your sins.
The problem is if you teach your understanding of something else as absolute fact when you are wrong. Such as saying something is true when it's not and refusing to believe otherwise. You're not seeking Him (The Word, Truth) when you do that.
1 Timothy 1:7
They want to be teachers of the law, but they do not know what they are talking about or what they so confidently affirm.
John 1:1-10
In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. 2 He was with God in the beginning. 3 Through him all things were made; without him nothing was made that has been made. 4 In him was life, and that life was the light of all mankind. 5 The light shines in the darkness, and the darkness has not overcome[a] it.
6 There was a man sent from God whose name was John. 7 He came as a witness to testify concerning that light, so that through him all might believe. 8 He himself was not the light; he came only as a witness to the light.
9 The true light that gives light to everyone was coming into the world. 10 He was in the world, and though the world was made through him, the world did not recognize him.
John 14:6
Jesus answered, “I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.
So there is no final authority on this earth that can be held in my hand and read? Your problem is that you believe that you are the final authority on this earth. Your opinion is above all. That's satanic.
Jesus is the authority Anon, not me, not you, and not the Bible.
Trust in Him.
I'll give you an example. According to the Bible Moses brought the Law that condemns to death. He sinned against God and then blamed everyone but himself. He introduced a ransom the Israelite's had to pay for their lives. When God barred him from entering the promised land because of what he did he blamed it on the Israelite's saying it was because of them. He was the only person in the Bible to tell God to blot him out of His book. Seriously it's all in there.
He also witnessed for himself that...
Deuteronomy 34:10
no prophet has risen in Israel like Moses, whom the LORD knew face to face.
Yet previously, he said...
Exodus 33:18-20
Moses said, “Please show me your glory.” 19 And he said, “I will make all my goodness pass before you and will proclaim before you my name ‘The LORD.’ And I will be gracious to whom I will be gracious, and will show mercy on whom I will show mercy. 20 But,” he said, “you cannot see my face, for man shall not see me and live.”
The inconsistencies are a very important part of the Bible (as are coincidences) anon, but most are taught to ignore them because you can't dare question something it says on it's face. The Word (Truth) is in the Bible, but not all of it, and not necessarily on it's face.
John 10:1-18
“Very truly I tell you Pharisees, anyone who does not enter the sheep pen by the gate, but climbs in by some other way, is a thief and a robber. 2 The one who enters by the gate is the shepherd of the sheep. 3 The gatekeeper opens the gate for him, and the sheep listen to his voice. He calls his own sheep by name and leads them out. 4 When he has brought out all his own, he goes on ahead of them, and his sheep follow him because they know his voice. 5 But they will never follow a stranger; in fact, they will run away from him because they do not recognize a stranger’s voice.” 6 Jesus used this figure of speech, but the Pharisees did not understand what he was telling them.
7 Therefore Jesus said again, “Very truly I tell you, I am the gate for the sheep. 8 All who have come before me are thieves and robbers, but the sheep have not listened to them. 9 I am the gate; whoever enters through me will be saved.[a] They will come in and go out, and find pasture. 10 The thief comes only to steal and kill and destroy; I have come that they may have life, and have it to the full.
11 “I am the good shepherd. The good shepherd lays down his life for the sheep. 12 The hired hand is not the shepherd and does not own the sheep. So when he sees the wolf coming, he abandons the sheep and runs away. Then the wolf attacks the flock and scatters it. 13 The man runs away because he is a hired hand and cares nothing for the sheep.
14 “I am the good shepherd; I know my sheep and my sheep know me— 15 just as the Father knows me and I know the Father—and I lay down my life for the sheep. 16 I have other sheep that are not of this sheep pen. I must bring them also. They too will listen to my voice, and there shall be one flock and one shepherd. 17 The reason my Father loves me is that I lay down my life—only to take it up again. 18 No one takes it from me, but I lay it down of my own accord. I have authority to lay it down and authority to take it up again. This command I received from my Father.”
Mark 4:11-12
He told them, “The secret of the kingdom of God has been given to you. But to those on the outside everything is said in parables 12 so that,
“‘they may be ever seeing but never perceiving,
and ever hearing but never understanding;
otherwise they might turn and be forgiven!’”
Seek Truth Anon. Pray to God to lead you to the Truth and he will. Anything is possible through Him, if you have faith. Trust him to lead you to it.
Not inconsistencies that constitute error. The bible is our authority on earth. Prove your beliefs without quoting verses from a book you don't believe is true. John 17: 17 - Sanctify them through thy truth: thy word is truth. You would make a good Pope. You are your own final authority. Ps 138:2 ...for thou hast magnified thy word above all thy name.
Again, I'm not the authority, and I don't think I will be like God one day.
You don't know what you're arguing about and you're actually arguing against the Bible. You're not paying attention to what I say because you're so convinced you know what I think. You're not seeking Truth because you're so confident in yourself.
Seek Truth Anon, and actually read the verses I quoted. You are in error.
Jesus is the Way, the Truth and the Life. May God open your eyes and Bless you.
2. Since God is a Spirit, there is no final authority that can be seen, heard, read,
felt, or handled.
3. Since all books are material, there is no book on this earth that is the final
and absolute authority on what is right and what is wrong, what constitutes truth and
what constitutes error.
4. There WAS a series of writings one time which, IF they had all been put into a
BOOK as soon as they were written the first time, WOULD HAVE constituted an infallible and final authority by which to judge truth and error.
5. However, this series of writings was lost, and the God who inspired them was
unable to preserve their content through Bible-believing Christians at Antioch
(Syria), where the first Bible teachers were (Acts 13:1), and where the first missionary
trip originated (Acts 13:1-52), and where the word “Christian” originated (Acts 11:26).
6. So God chose to ALMOST preserve them through Gnostics and philosophers
from Alexandria, Egypt, even though God called His Son OUT of Egypt (Matthew 2),
Jacob OUT of Egypt (Genesis 49), Israel OUT of Egypt (Exodus 15), and Joseph’s
bones OUT of Egypt (Exodus 13).
7. So there are two streams of Bibles. The most accurate—though, of course, there
is no final, absolute authority for determining truth and error; it is a matter of “preference”—are the Egyptian translations from Alexandria, Egypt, which are “almost the
originals,” although not quite.
8. The most inaccurate translations were those that brought about the German
Reformation (Luther, Zwingli, Boehler, Zinzendorf, Spener, et al.) and the worldwide
missionary movement of the English-speaking people: the Bible that Sunday, Torrey,
Moody, Finney, Spurgeon, Whitefield, Wesley, and Chapman used.
9. But we can “tolerate” these if those who believe in them will “tolerate” US. After
all, since there is NO ABSOLUTE AND FINAL AUTHORITY that anyone can read,
teach, preach, or handle, the whole thing is a matter of “PREFERENCE.” You may
prefer what you prefer, and we will prefer what we prefer. Let us live in peace, and if we
cannot agree on anything or everything, let us all agree on one thing: THERE IS NO
FINAL, ABSOLUTE, WRITTEN AUTHORITY OF GOD ANYWHERE ON THIS EARTH.
YOUR opinion is YOUR final authority. Your faith is in yourself. How would we know of Him and His salvation if not for the scriptures? My faith for salvation is in Him which I learned from the scriptures. Ephesians 2:8,9 - 8 For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God: 9 Not of works, lest any man should boast. Your position on scriptural authority is straight out of hell.
Anon, you're not paying attention to what I've said or the scriptures I've quoted. You're too busy trying to insult me. Speaking of, what did Jesus say you should do to/for your enemies?
You're so busy arguing the Bible is infallible, yet you don't do what it says.
I'm not saying the Bible is invalid or not useful. All of it is useful and I believe all of it should be there. There are however things in the Old Testament that are NOT TRUE. The New Testament and Jesus tells you this, but you worship the WRITTEN WORD (Bible - LAW) rather than the LIVING WORD (Jesus - GRACE & LIFE) so you will not understand the story in the Bible because you will not consider that anything written in the Bible isn't true as written or that something true was left out of it.
You're completely discounting that the Holy Spirit will teach us anything, or that new knowledge will come which isn't in the Bible. Revelation even has the part where He tells him not to write down what the Seven Thunders said, proving some things are not in the Bible.
1 Timothy 1:7
“Not everyone who says to me, ‘Lord, Lord,’ will enter the kingdom of heaven, but only the one who does the will of my Father who is in heaven. 22 Many will say to me on that day, ‘Lord, Lord, did we not prophesy in your name and in your name drive out demons and in your name perform many miracles?’ 23 Then I will tell them plainly, ‘I never knew you. Away from me, you evildoers!’
Seek Truth and know Him Anon. Seek the Living Word.
No Truth is what matters to me. It doesn't seem to mean anything to you.
You ignore what many of the scriptures say in order to refuse anything in the Bible (OT and not all of it) may not be true as written because you can hold it in your hand.
Isaiah 45:20
20 “Gather together and come; assemble, you fugitives from the nations. Ignorant are those who carry about idols of wood, who pray to gods that cannot save.
Who do you pray to and believe saves you anon? Pages of a book assembled by man or the Living Word of God, the Truth that's talked about in that book?
I didn't say it's not true, I said not all of it is true.
You see you can't even stay within the truth of this conversation and you're getting angry because I'm arguing that what the Bible says about Jesus is fact, he is the Word in the Flesh, the Living Word.
You deny the new testament scriptures I've given you because you refuse to hear Truth out of fear and a seared conscience.
Was Jesus a hypocrite when he corrected the old testament or is it infallible?
Now try asking God to show you the Truth, even if you're wrong and the Bible is not 100% true. If you have faith in Him, ask. You have to be willing to be shown the Truth though.
Also I always ask for things if it's His Will, like the example Jesus gave us. I think it's important.

I didn't say I don't believe the Bible is true.
I said not everything in it is true, and that it doesn't contain the entire truth.
You don't even know what you're arguing about.
20605076? ago
That makes YOU the final authority because YOU decide what's truth and what's not. You may think one day you will be like the Most High but you won't.
20605147? ago
See my edit in case you missed it.
20605245? ago
I know what I read and stick to my post. YOU ARE YOUR OWN FINAL AUTHORITY.
20605352? ago
You should read it again.
I don't have authority, I have the Word and my faith is in HIM.
Your faith is in yourself and something assembled by man that you can hold in your hands, even though you argue against what it says.
Woe to you Anon.

THE CREED OF
THE ALEXANDRIAN CULT
1. There is no final authority but God.
This is the Creed of the Alexandrian Cult.

Ok, thanks for the info I guess.
20605698? ago
You're welcome

Seek Truth and know Him Anon. Seek the Living Word.
He is not the God of the dead, but of the Living.
20606135? ago
You think YOU are God and you're not. "Ye are of your father the devil"
20606255? ago
Not even close.
I think I'm a sinner just like you.
You're not seeking Truth because you're convinced you know better.
Woe to you evildoer.
20606122? ago
YOUR opinion is all that matters to you. More important than the scriptures.
20606233? ago
No Truth is what matters to me. It doesn't seem to mean anything to you.
You ignore what many of the scriptures say in order to refuse anything in the Bible (OT and not all of it) may not be true as written because you can hold it in your hand.
Isaiah 45:20
Who do you pray to and believe saves you anon? Pages of a book assembled by man or the Living Word of God, the Truth that's talked about in that book?
God Bless.
20606293? ago
You pretend to be pious and holy but you are a protestant pope. I can see through you clearly. Ye are of your father the devil
20606334? ago
lol
Read the Bible and pray for the Truth.
God bless.
20606363? ago
Why are you telling me to read the bible for truth when you don'y know if it's true or not. You hypocrite.
20606482? ago
Woe to you.
20606565? ago
Jesus is God He can change whatever He wants. You are NOT God.. You've been exposed demon.
20606681? ago
I never claimed to be God and do not want to be.
More anger and insults rather than Truth from you.
Jesus is the Way, the Truth, and the Life. Seek Him anon.
God Bless.
20606832? ago
Your words betray you. YOU ARE A DEMON
20606931? ago
Jesus is my Lord and Savior. He is the Living Word of God. He came in the Flesh and died on the Cross for my Sins and well as yours.
You deny HIM anon, not me.
God Bless.
20607120? ago
In the name of the Lord Jesus Christ leave him you unclean spirit.
20607161? ago
Thanks.
Now try asking God to show you the Truth, even if you're wrong and the Bible is not 100% true. If you have faith in Him, ask. You have to be willing to be shown the Truth though.
Also I always ask for things if it's His Will, like the example Jesus gave us. I think it's important.
God Bless.

Get thee behind me Satan
20607724? ago
The Lord bless you
and keep you;
the Lord make his face shine on you
and be gracious to you;
the Lord turn his face toward you
and give you peace.
In Jesus Holy Name.
God Bless
20607731? ago
Get thee behind me Satan.
20607735? ago
You already tried that.
20607793? ago
Ha I guess it's not worked yet. Demon still there. Glad you finally admit it.
20607938? ago
I'm picturing a priest holding a cross standing there throwing holy water on someone while that person is blessing the priest in Jesus name.
Or a baptist preacher holding a KJV cause it's "the only version authorized by God" but in the same scenario.
lol
God bless anon.
