Saw people exiting building to get in chopper. But they never arrived that way..... how did they arrive? Were they in gear? No mention at all in aust msm.

The reason most developed Nations do not train over civilian high density area's is because training exercises do have accidents. The liability and the poor optics is rather in your face.

No one has posted this advance notice, which will be plastered in print and digital format at least 24 hours before the exercise. The digital warning can be manipulated but the printed format can NOT.

WHO was on the roof of the building next door taking the video? Office building, at night? The front door would have been locked. A tenant, because they heard all the noise and decided to go to the roof to check it out? Or....white hat, to share with the world? How did they know to go there and do the video? Video started before the 1st helicopter landed. I would think any tenants in THAT building would know the relationship with the lawyers and the pedo stuff, and instead of staying to video, would have been getting as far away as possible.

I read a story about the owners of the building where the maneuvers took place. They are connected with the likes of the bronfman's, the Clintons and others. They own a lot of businesses but I thought it was interesting that one owned a cold storage facility. The other owns a lot of latino, possibly cabal connected businesses.

The second to the last black hawk pick up looked like an extraction. The soldiers were circling around a guy as they approached the helicoptor and they didn't run like the others had.

I know nothing about military operations and defer to the knowledge of those who do, but I did read a very well informed article and saw what I saw.

So this was a raid and an extraction of evidence/contraband?

I hate to burst any bubbles here. I just talked to my best friend of 35 years. He is an active ARMY Apache trainer pilot. He confirmed without research, only watching the video, that this unit is in fact the 160th SOAR and are flying a variant of the h-60 Blackhawk and the smaller birds are MH-6 utility helicopters used for small team extraction. He says that these are training missions that happen on a regular basis. He cited one in particular that happened in Portland OR. As far as the buildings being owned by the same person, there is a LOA or letter of agreement, basically a contract that allows the military to use their building for this exercise. He is 95% sure this is a standard scheduled training op. Trust me I really wanted to believe there was something about this video with teeth but hearing from someone in the know, my excitement is reduced.

Assuming this was a real op (and I think you've convinced me it probably was), under what circumstances would the military need to use the choppers instead of a swat team? Whether it were bio or intel, don't they have the ground forces to go in and take care of the situation? Can any of you think of good reasons why they would have to fly in? I could maybe see it if the traffic was just too congested...something like that. But this was pre-planned to a degree...so it didn't have to happen immediately, and in the evening when the traffic wasn't too bad....

I have pictures (posted one on the Chan last night) of spec ops helos doing an urban exercise in Minneapolis, 2012. Had left field seats at Target Field, watched the whole thing. They were definitely flying 'between things', never went to ground or embarked operators, that we saw. Flew three circuits of their route.

I am curious as to what authority was providing traffic control to the area. There is a glimpse of a a vehicle with flashing lights parked as to block traffic, but I cannot make out markings. I have no doubt that in a sanctuary city, local law enforcement might not want to play along with the MAGA agenda, but obviously, someone is keeping traffic off of this street.

Because (unless I'm mistaken) the military isn't constitutionally allowed to operate (note I didn't say "train", I said operate) on home soil.. unless some very specific conditions are met, what might those conditions be?

I ask because if someone who knows could verify what those conditions are, it may give insight as to the possibly why the op happened.

I seen video of the urban training night ops in American cities - including using helicopters to drop off troops, troops sweeping a building, etc - I have never seen a helicopter landing between tall buildings like that. That was extremely risky.

Let's ask questions about that. As in why would it be necessary to bring in airborne special forces vs dudes arriving in the typical black SUV vehicles?

I'm retired army aviation and agree with most of your assessment ... some of your terminology seems way off to me though. OH-58's were never called "Killer Eggs" ... maybe an OH-6, but not an OH-58. While I agree with what you're saying about command aversion to risk, there's things that go bump in the night that look like the army that aren't the army and we'll leave it at that.

Those weren't AF CSAR birds. We operated out of the HH-53 (Super Jolly Green Giants) in the late 60's early 70's. The HH-53 was an upgrade of the HH-3E. That was a long time ago in an exotic land far away (SEA). The birds in LA looked like Pave Hawks to me. But my days of doing CSAR with the AF (PJ) under PACAF (now AFSOC) are a distant, albeit vibrant, memory. I'm not up to date on the choppers and their numerous versions. I no longer keep up with the latest intricacies of the game.

What I can say is the LA event was totally out of character for a military training drill. My dad was a Army Master Sgt. who earned his CIB in the Asian soil of Korea. I did my time with AF in 'Nam. So the military has been a major part of my life and I have never seen or heard of any drill that would endanger civilians and potentially panic a city small or large. Hell, they put those birds down on one of the busiest streets in the middle of the second highest population (4M) city in the country. While popping off explosives and all WITHOUT forewarning the citizenry. Not only was it too dangerous to be a drill it was bad for public relations and the military is real touchy about PR.

While there have been many exercises in cities by military in helicopters, I don't think any have been done at such a low altitude in a such a populated area where they actually land on the ground. Other exercises usually have them in more remote areas and/or at a higher altitude.

My position was that there were indeed SOME training exercises happening, as cover FOR actual DEVGRU/SF missions so anything legitimate caught on camera could be dismissed with "yeah it's happening all week look around" but after reading this and the risks taken you've got me convinced. I did a search for Wells Fargo on Wilshire Avenue. There is also Chase across the street. Someone posted video on here from someone that was in Chase bank.

Anyway, guess what is next to Chase bank? According to google map. Consulate General of Turkey. And on the SE corner of Wilshire and Warner (east of Chase) is the Consulate General of Germany.

Have no idea if there are connections or not. Just throwing this info out there.

Two questions: 1) if this were a training mission, as official sources claim, why would such highly sensitive training be done under the watchful eyes of those we are seeking to surprise? OP, the "Killer Eggs" looked like AH-6 Little Birds not OH-58 Kiowas which are longer/bigger. Both those and the HH-60M are flown by the Night Stalkers whose mission is well suited this. (all this was stated by another anon in another post earlier) Like you I cannot get past the incredible shitstorm that would have followed if there was a screw-up and it was only a training mission.

Its missions have included attack, assault, and reconnaissance, and are usually conducted at night, at high speeds, low altitudes, and on short notice. The 160th SOAR is headquartered at Fort Campbell, Kentucky.

I agree. Spec Ops was up to something for sure. They wouldn't train in the middle of LA and they were being pretty stealthy. Those uh-60s were SOAR night stalkers almost 100% and they don't do routine missions.

The idea of it being training makes very little sense. Things like this are not known to happen often and i would love to see any precedent for this happening at least once before. It, honestly, seems like a huge risk for very little reward. Seems like they can minimize the risk, and make training more realistic if all aspects can be controlled to monitor and record all reactions.

Same training was in minneapolis, swat buddies participated. This is nothingburger.

One time claim staking, we were late to reach our pick-up site and tried to clear a landing pad in the forest. The Hughes-500 (similar to an OH58) helicopter arrived before we finished. I watched the crazy pilot make the descent with his rotors nearly touching the tree tops. All the time I was thinking "Please go away. I would rather walk 15km through the bush than die today." Watching that video gave me flashbacks.

I never went on any military training exercises where they didn't give the pilots a football field to land in.

ty for the help! was what i was eluding to in another run of this topic, no way were those run of the mill pilots, or a training ex, or the guys getting into that blackhawk, think on that, lets get into this and fly out from inbetween these buildings, not normal troop exfil theyd find a parking lot a block over or go from a rooftop that HAS a helo platform like the major bank across the street or highrise hotel.

The presence of lil birds is a sure sign the operators were higher tier than Special Forces.

Commenting to confirm OPs statements. Just sent the video to a reliable source and received the following...

1. The Black Hawks had air-to-air refueling probes on them; which means they are aircraft and aircrew from the 160th SOAR. I'm not saying these guys flew the Bin Laden raid, but if you wanted to fly undetected through Pakistani airspace to assault a possibly heavily fortified and defended compound to get Bin Laden, well, these are the guys you'd call. They are the only guys that have air-to-air refueling capability on Black Hawks.

2. In my 30-years experience in Army Aviation, I've only ever heard of an "exercise" in a metropolitan area...once. The 1st Special Forces group flew a training mission near the outskirts of Seattle in the 1998 timeframe. It was not well coordinated with the civilian population and local law enforcement. Let's just say the poop kinda hit the fan. It was virtually a career ender for those responsible..... and it was nowhere near the downtown metropolitan area.

3. Guys that do this stuff for a living have suitable training sites away from the civilian populace. There is limited value added, and a huge risk incurred, to conduct such training in a heavily populated area for "realism." The cost-benefit calculus doesn't work out. It's just not worth it. Training for urban operations is conducted at training sites. Sometimes aggressive exercises are conducted in more populated areas overseas, not in the U.S. though.

I think it was live too. It does seem strange to have refuel probe on when they could easily fly to another base for transport on a plane. Perhaps people are being taken to ocean bases or something.
