It's a smart move by the DS, if you think about it. If they just abruptly nuke 8ch, Q can't reliably relocate to another trip code on 4chan or elsewhere via a firm handshake. Q won't be able to say, "I'm moving to xyz.com"

Q didn't use trip codes to begin with. Q had to be taught about them and how to use them. Trip codes were convenient but not the original plan.

Everything should be considered suspect, but if you use discernment many pieces of very good info show therethere first. They drop much good info to build trust so you will fall for the bad. Don't be a sucker, and take what good you can from wherever it appears.
