That actually makes sense. And how did they bring Rome down? The same way they're trying to bring the nations of Europe down.

Didnt Rome (Roman Empire) fall because of massive inflation?

I'm no history expert, but there seems to be a repeating timeline in this kind of things... Empires rise, and then fall because of money inflation.. The same direction the West is headed now...

A couple major things brought Rome down.

  1. Extensive corruption throughout the top levels of gov't, those who lead. This included wild sex parties, bribery, and outright murder of key players who wouldn't play.
  2. Lead water supply pipes could have played a part as leads causes permanent damage in the brain.

One commonly accepted theory is that Rome was brought down by an invasion of migrants.

Yeah, white germanic immigrants, lul, how the tables have turned. Also Romans were just not having enough kids. They were too busy fornicating and didn't want to raise the next generation. Basically after a few centuries you suddenly don't have the manpower to defend the borders or maintain infrastructure.

If your culture is subverted, yes. Bezmenov's talks on this are worth a watch.

Who was in charge of the Roman financial system? Joo know what I mean...

Only partly.

One could argue it was ultimately overexepansion of the empire.

To the commenter's point, however, migration from Germanic Tribes and Huns contributed greatly. As well as subversion and corruption from within, an abandonment of traditions (with the adoption of Christianity, over the older faith), and a general licentiousness and decadence in the populace.

The Eastern Roman Empire lasted another 1100 years after adapting Christianity. If anything, the single religion with a strong moral code unified and strengthened the Empire. Surrounding Empires like the Norse/Varangians adapted Christianity in imitation.

The human condition.
