• Low carb (ideally, eat paleo)- I cycle keto
• Don't eat anything that comes out of a package - agreed!
• Get both Omega 3 and Omega 6 fats - flax seeds and chia seeds are good for fat balancing
• Eat a probiotic like sauerkraut or kimchi so the intestines are populated with positive bacteria- unfortunately we don't know what good bacteria is, or is not. I like both sauerkraut and kimchi though. Wish they had a good kimchi in the store.
• Get some sun (D3 is a pro-hormone) or D3 as a supplement - eh, not sure about this
• Exercise. Anything is good but whole-body lifts are ideal for stimulating positive hormonal activity - I do the 5 compound basics every week (squat, deadlift, bench, standing military press, barbell rows). Totally agree and was just discussing this with two friends at Thanksgiving.
• Do calisthenic bridges (lay on your back, push your body up to the sky using hands and feet. Squeeze your butt and between the shoulders to create stability and strength) to ensure that your spine stays strong and active in all directions from head to butt. Most of us sit too much and slump so spine sets into bad posture (back pain, etc). Bridges are also the ideal warm-up for whole body lifts. - I do full squats and reach one arm up to the sky while resting the other hand on the floor. • Look into intermittent fasting. This helps in managing our insulin and this flows onto cortisol, testosterone, human growth hormone, etc.- I practice IF 80% of days (I don't typically eat breakfast unless my body is screaming for it).

I have never received a flu shot (at least not that I remember), and have never got the flu in all my 29 years aside from maybe the stomach flu in high school. The way I see it, I'm better off staying away from flu shots since it's worked out for me so far. The flu shot literally injects you with a small sample of the flu. The problem is that sample rarely matches the type of flu that happens to be going around that year, so you're really just attempting to ward off an outdated flu virus. But I'm not a doctor. I just play one on TV.

flu shots are the most useless vaccinations ever. a flu virus constantly mutates, the shots are taken from the last flu season and can never match the new virus.

i learned that in school, 40 years ago. why the fuck are these stupid shots still being promoted? they weaken your immune system; if you are lucky and the new virus is from a strain thats part of your shot, you may have 10% better immunity than other people. on the other hand, you have a 90% higher liability to catch one cold after the other, and when a flu virus from another strain hits you, your immune system is so compromised that it cant fight it.

btw, flu isnt really so dangerous, its actually great training for the immune system and may, for years to come, prevent auto-immune diseases, slow down your allergies, neurodermatisis, etc. most people, except for the very weak, have no huge problems with it.

the only real problem it causes is pneumonia, after the flu subsides. the reason for this pneumonia is not bacterial - antiobiotics are useless and comprimose the immune system even more - but auto-immune.

I work in healthcare and it's mandatory to get the flu shot, have gotten the flu, strep, every year since I've been getting them. I told our employee health doctor the vaccine weakens my immune system and I catch everything coming and going and he thought I was crazy. The flu shot should be used if certain conditions apply...

If your lifestyle puts you in contact with 1000s of different people from all over frequently, i.e. airports, event centers, schools, military, large bars/clubs, large retail stores, then you should consider getting one

The other situation is if you simply are at risk of being unable to survive the flu should you contract it, i.e. a child, elderly, autoimmune disease

Otherwise if those two conditions dont apply and you are a healthy adult then by all means skip it.

The first flu shot I remember hearing about was administered for free in 1976 at Hughes Aircraft. I was working there on contract at the time and they allowed contractors to be included in the free shots.

Haven't had a flu shot since 2007 and that was also the Last time I had the flu beginning the next day for 2 weeks followed by bronchitis for another 2 weeks. One thing we use to break up colds as well as pneumonia is colloidal silver. In 2016 I caught a nasty cold that turned into pneumonia. Two different antibiotics failed to kill it. Tried the colloidal silver and it did what big pharma antibiotics failed to do and within 4 days it was gone!

When I reached 65 and was told that I would get the high dose flu shot instead of the regular flu shot, that is when I said no thanks to flu shots. If they are telling me that from 64 to 65 I am changed to the point of upping my dose and this is what you get for getting older, all I hear is we can fix that getting older problem. I will never get another flu shot, pneumonia shot, shingles shot, or any other shot that they are so ready and willing, and begging me to get.
