As a lawfag and advisor to law enforcement, here is something everyone should consider:
-
The long list of sealed case files are not necessarily indictments.
-
Most are, in fact, probably search warrants.
-
Search warrants generally must be served on the person being searched (and/or suspect) at the time the search is conducted.
-
HOWEVER, for electronic surveillance (wiretaps, stingray and GPS trackers, email/text/browsing histories) and on RARE OCCASIONS actual physical searches may be conducted surreptitiously, keeping the person/suspect unaware of the search, if the government petitions for such based on good cause to believe that either evidence will be destroyed or the suspect will abscond from prosecution.
-
The secrecy is time-limited, but the government can continue to maintain those items under seal by renewing the petitions until the court determines that the items should be un-sealed or the government determines that the secrecy should be ended.
So:
A. Are there 60k indictments? Probably not, and there's no way to tell. It's extremely likely that there are significantly more than 1,000, though. However, there is a HUGE number of search warrants. Hmmmm...
B. So, what does the publicly known information tell us? Well, correlate the locations of the cases with the statutes related to the sealed cases. That should tell you A LOT.
Have a nice day.

Disinfo. Designed to cause doubt. I AM In Law enforcement. The sealed indictments are real. Many of us at the upper levels are already being briefed on the mass unsealing of this many indictments at once. Although multiple indictments can and are for a single individual, the shear amount of arrests that will take place is UN precidented. In my local steps have already been taken to accommodate this many suspects. So rest assured this is real and it's happening soon. Very soon...see I can tell a story too! You have a nice day ;)

No you are not LE! LE has received NO info on forth coming indictments. You are a fucking fag. For those of us who worked on 9/11 we know how the gov't works when it comes time for mass arrest. Teletypes went out to each jurisdiction with lists of people to be picked up. There was no forewarning. So STFU!

How could you have fore warning for 9/11 unless that was a planned attack by our own government and they were foolish enough to let other LEO know ahead of the attack who they planned on arresting?

We didn't have forewarning you dipshit. The towers got hit in the morning and by 1100 hrs. UTC-5 the NCIC terminals started spitting out names of individuals and last known addresses for people who had over stayed there visa's (of every form). Ask anyone who worked near college campuses. For the college town I work in we had hundreds of names of people who claimed to be students in our area. We spent all day looking for these people, nearly none were found. No one got forewarning of anything. Stop reading into things you dumbass! Then don't forget all the middle eastern "students" who went around to all the federal buildings sketching diagrams of the facilities shortly after the attacks. Most of the people we contacted that were doing that shit were Saudi students. But the Bush Administration brushed that shit under the rug and covered it up. The 9/11 attack was a government sponsored attack that the Bush's covered up IMO.

Chill out. I was being sarcastic.

Sounds right. I was in private practice during 9/11 so I don't know how it was then. But when the 2016 campaign was going we'd get info (no longer teletype) from USSS to look for and do a field interrogation (FI) of certain people, just to say "Hi" and let them know we were watching. Many of them we couldn't find, unsurprisingly.

Yeah, a bad analogy considering one is a long term plan, and another is a response to a "surprise" attack
