Hello new goats & old - I am writing this as I know that the site owner is too proud to ebeg, well I am not.

Voat's BTC account 3NZvuAk3Csf1UP1KCmzN9dhiXTwvhTgr9k is empty totally empty not a cent in there.

You probably think that this website is kept alive with advertising, but I am afraid we have been cut off from all payment processors. As a result the store has been shut as it cannot accept cards & the advertisements on the side bar have remain unchanged for several years and are largely there for comedic value at this point.

As you can imagine hosting a website with tens of thousands of active users is costly, we managed to reduce the overheads earlier this year when some dedicated goats with more skill than I rewrote the code and moved the site to better hosting, but the costs are still there and we cannot allow the site owner to take the brunt of this.

The cabal have been after Voat for a very long time, many times we have barely hung on by a thread & now we need your help. Please help keep your new home alive as it wont survive without all of our assistance.

If I were ever going to buy crypto, it would have been when it was under a penny.. Didn't for all those years, not starting now (going to pay those I know that invest in crypto to be intermediary before you call me a cheapass)

For the most part, a lot of us don't deal in crypto merely because there was never a need. Until today, I haven't run across a service that required payment in cypto. Its like not bothering to have a PP account until you want to buy/donate and they only accept PP.

You have to admit - there is a learning curve. I have gone through the learning curve and still don't do it. Why? Because one day I heard a negative story about Coinbase taking someone's coins. And, then there are a few countries that no longer allow it. I buy silver instead. I can keep that in a safe place and it will always be valuable and the no one will likely take it from me. Although, yes, anything is possible.
