But you have a user banned with no rule supporting it.
You understand that that is only your opinion and not a fact, right?
We believe we do have a rule. You just don't agree. Which is fine, we're clearly willing to look into it. But the person who decides which of us is correct, is not you.
It will be the community.
The OP has copypasta'd one of my comments where I quote from the FAQ's concerning spamming. I will use this text when I message spammers who look like they are making submissions from one domain or YT account.
Janitor-Modding in v/AskVoat and v/Whatever, I get these "ReportSpam" messages all the time in my Smail and 80% of the time they are crap; I examine what it is that's being reported, mark them as 'read', and move on if they are BS. I absolutely have the ability to ban users but never in a million years would I ban a user for "over reporting spam"--this is the antithesis of Voat, and further, the Admins have asked that we help with monitoring and reporting spam.
With all due respect Kev, the issue isn't whether any of these posts are actually YT spammers; the FAQ's and the UA are quite clear in what constitutes spam. If the community of v/videos wants to keep these, so be it.
These mods are working very hard to try to redirect the dialog but it all goes back to the fact that they banned a user for reporting spam and not heeding their edicts for that user to stop. Ridiculous.
I've been banned for reporting spam to /v/videos/ from /all/new for quite some time, but the mods there don't seem to like me reporting obvious spammers and spambots the "community" supposedly consider as legit.
I could post screenshots of my sent message box, but the close to "hundred" spamming reports the mods accuse me of are just a drop in the ocean of all the spam I reported in other subs.
Why would someone spam a video with 100k views on Voat? It's going to get 100 views at the very most. Even if they are doing that, can it be considered as spam if the content is within the rules of the sub?
What if someone creates a real new account and is reported for spam because their account is new?
Thousands of one-shot spambots are spreading in forum, comment section of articles, social media, everyday, to post the same links they've been coded for.
Not deleting, but un-approving it so it won't show up in /new, then after tagging the account (thanks /v/AVE), you''ll just have to wait for it to msg you or continue to post new links to confirm itself as spam.
The thing is, most of the one-shot spambots are coded to post once and become inactive.
That's how you can spot them.
Of course, there are some exception, when someone call it out in the comment section, and the spammer behind the scripts gets notified and pretend to be a legit account. You still can tell by their broken english.
Most spammers are now from Pakistan, India and China.

I don't make up my mind on the rules.
It will be decided by the community.

So you were full of shit when you said that?
You know we are currently gathering feedback, and planning to deal with this through the community.
Why the vitriol? How is that helping?
Why not just calm the fuck down. Join the dialogue and see what comes of it?
We have never failed the community in the past, and we have been tested often.

I believe this was already answered. Something about modmail not showing the spam reports up to a certain point.

Can someone fill me in?

I've been banned for reporting spam to /v/videos/ from /all/new for quite some time, but the mods there don't seem to like me reporting obvious spammers and spambots the "community" supposedly consider as legit.
AOU ago
Keep begging, I might consider your request and ask the community if they are ok for me to explain you how to be a mod.
Also, thanks for the nice name.
AOU ago
Why would you care? That's not even in your interest.
AOU ago
You're a mod, you should know that.
AOU ago
There's something you need to understand, here.
You believe I've got a tab opened on /v/videos/new 24/7, which I don't.
I'm mostly staying in /v/all/new, where, unfortunately, the approved spam of your sub is showing.
I don't really care if your feefees are hurt because I report spammers you are endorsing.
I don't really pay attention in which subs they are spamming in. It doesn't matter as long as it helps keeping voat spam free.
With your attitude, you are doing the same thing that turned reddigg into the pathetic snowflakes safe space shit hole it is right now.
So I'm gonna repeat it again: I will not abide by your rules, but only voat's mentioned in my previous comment.
You can pull as much as your so called "community" cards as you want, you're just a mod, in default subs, but still just a mod.
AOU ago
TL;DR If you want to be unbanned, you must obey by my rules.
Stop hiding behind "community" card.
Regarding spam, I only follow voat's User Agreement and FAQ.
From the User Agreement:
From the FAQ:

You've been asking for a serious discussion of this issue and yet you are making fun of it.
And this, ladies and gentlemen, is a mod of default subs!
AOU ago
You mean my close to 100 harassing spam reports?
PM_ME_YOUR_ARCHES ago
Shhhh! delete this comment, they might lower my cut!
PM_ME_YOUR_ARCHES ago
How does the list of posts prove that those are the ones you reported?
(legitimately asking)
AOU ago
I could post screenshots of my sent message box, but the close to "hundred" spamming reports the mods accuse me of are just a drop in the ocean of all the spam I reported in other subs.
PM_ME_YOUR_ARCHES ago
Are some of these even spam?
No. 16, for example, seems to be a normal post. The account only made that one post, but the content isn't spam.
AOU ago
That's a one shot spambot.
Spammers are using this technique, so they do get much attention.
PM_ME_YOUR_ARCHES ago

That's a good question!
How do you think that video got 100K views? :)
Thousands of one-shot spambots are spreading in forum, comment section of articles, social media, everyday, to post the same links they've been coded for.
That how these videos get the views.
PM_ME_YOUR_ARCHES ago
idk man, looks like a legit youtube channel to me. I can see why this would not be seen as real spam reports by mods.
After all, if they delete a real post that isn't spam, there is going to be a post about it here just like this one.
AOU ago
If you think this is not spam, it means the spammers did a good job.
PM_ME_YOUR_ARCHES ago
Would you have deleted that video if you were a /v/videos mod?
What would you categorise as being spam?
AOU ago
Yet another good question.
