always got the sense that PV was supposed to be an arbitration sub in way that it resolved user/mod disputes objectively and didn't get emotionally involved in order to effectively arbitrate the issue.
We can be but most often we find that we are the ones having to call the mods into question ourselves and fight for the rights of users. Ideally that would be the case but no it hasn't been a traditional role of the mods here. Very rarely it happens you get user and mod/s that will sort things out and we can help. You saw me try to make a deal here between you and and the OP here a day ago and it didn't work out. Other times it has. Sorry for the two replies I reread and realized I didn't really address that bit.
The flairs originated from users of this sub wanting to ban trolls way back in the day. The people discussing it were divided and someone thought of a compromise where the 'known trolls' would be flaired instead of deleting their threads and banning them. Since then we've had people bring up the issue of flairs quite a few times, some genuine and some not so genuine. Personally I don't like adding flairs at all but because we were under attack so much from various groups, the sheer volume of those posts we get and the aim of the sub to be an archive of sorts then I can see the side of the people who want it and somewhat agree with them.
If you do have an issue though feel free to make a thread on it. If theres nothing going on in the default subs at the time we can sticky it. It's been about 3 months I think since the last time.
We've had posts here calling me personally a cunt and pretty much doing exactly what you described, unflaired before. Eventually that user started to get a flair because it became clear he was just trolling. I think it was shortly after he started shitting on his toilet seat and posting pictures of it here.
I cant speak for anyone else but when I flair something as a shitpost it's usually completely off-topic or from a known troublemaker. This doesn't really fit into any of those.
If I were in your position I would be making a bigger deal over being banned from a default for reporting spam as laid out in the FAQ here: https://voat.co/help/faq. The discussion seems like it will be had one way or another on v/videos but maybe try pming one of the admins and asking if they feel your ban is justified on one of their censorship free subs. Everyone is focusing on the election now but soon the eyes will turn and in the meantime you could be making strides Those mods on v/videos seem adamant that they dont give a fuck what the admins want their mods to do despite being appointed by @atko so maybe raise that as well. What would be interesting is if the admins appointed a Janitor there to remove that spam. I wonder what the lvl 2 mods reaction would be then.
So, you're against the idea that the community owns the system sub?
Are you saying that you want us to make arbitrary rules, on our own, without community input?
I think you should have a look at what PV is all about, as well as the ideals of Voat.
We stand by two things. First free-speech. Second, community ownership of the system sub.
Do you really see that as us being the bad guy?
/v/videos mods are obviously playing the community card when in fact most of the voaters voicing their opinions are spammers trying to get traffic to their youtube channels, and thus revenues.
They turn a blind eye on blatant spammers and let them reach the front page.
I'm waiting for @Atko and @Puttitout to step in and clear this thing up.

Yes people who read here tend to think critically and decide for themselves.

Can you rephrase what you're asking? You want this flaired a shitpost?
AOU ago
You need some rest, your brain is heating up too much, it seems.
AOU ago
There's no mistake here. I'm talking to you.
I don't need an alt account (I don't have any, admins can confirm)
AOU ago
He was definitely right to say that.
You are acting exactly like reddigg mods of default subs.

It's now clear that your main goal is to turn voat into another reddigg, but don't worry, karma will come back at you soon enough. ;)
