I can say that from the Facebook pages I ran with lots of success that there were organized efforts to tard post under dissident right content to make us loook unhinged and unwell. Much of this content would also be ridiculously liked and would become focal points.

I know someone who as a hobby trolled as a fake, retarded nationalist and whenever he got likes he used it as proof of how terrible we all are, but it is just as likely he was getting sarcastic likes.

I can also say that there would be thoughtful posts with controversial statements that would be deleted and banned, but sometimes very stupid statements with slurs and dumb statements would remain against all odds. I believe mods did this only to enable us to look more unhinged.

I never had time to manually manage all this.

Voat has a lot of the weaknesses that are inherent in reddit. If you look at something like /r/The_Donald, that's a place that's probably 90% curated content. People think it's honest, open discussion but it's not.

Often when I see stuff on voat and 4chan I get incredibly black-pilled about the dissident right. I don't know if it's mostly manufactured shilling and brigading like you're referring to, or if it's mostly genuine and the dissident right is just chock full of retards. But I'm seeing these patterns on just about every platform -- Twitter, YouTube, etc.

If there's a group out there trying to control voat, what narratives do they intend to suppress and which ones do they elevate? And what is the motivation? I guess those are questions we can think about. But I see a lot of commonality between voat "narratives" and what is seen in the dissident right on other platforms, even with people who use their public names.

The other aspect is that, in my view, zoomers are basically less than useless when it comes to this fight, and they dominate these platforms. That's just one more gear in the machine that has to be considered. Even the highly intelligent zoomers are less than useless.

Very true. And I'm still not sure of the nature of the attack on me. I could plausibly be targeted by feds, nutzis, antifa, or feds or antifa using nutzis as useful idiots. I'm also just good at pissing people off in general. Not really because I'm meaningfully at fault. More like because I can be very contrarian and am good at making people look foolish in arguments.

But in the past I de-prioritized it. I bitched about it a lot. But I was mostly just trying to function like anyone else and just use this platform to do my thing. But they won't let me. And they are a problem for the board in general. And I am rapidly coming to the point where I can counter them. They should try leaving me alone.

Controlling voat would be more difficult than wrangling retards at SeaWorld.

I'd note that hile I think itnis included in your assumptions, for a group to control a platform (or anything really) requires not only that they be well organized but that they be well disciplined. Without that all they can do is keep anyone else from freely using the platform but they simply cause a mob clusterfuck rather than a focused, determined outcome. I see a lot of troll like behavior which have made this site a lot less fun and useful, but I'm not really sure if the goal is simply negative to sow chaos or if there is an actual affirmative goal being striven for. I mean people often like echo chambers and will act to institute, and then protect, one, but the behavior on this site seems like more than that.
