This sounds like regular abusive parents to me not sure if this is because they are gay. My cousin and his sister have lesbian parents and they seem really happy are doing great in school and do all sorts of activities like hockey and camp are are always travelling all over the US with their parents whereas I grew up with straight parents and they broke up before I was five years old and subsequently both of them would end up getting nasty divorces with their next two partners. My childhood memories are dominated by them fighting with various spouses. My guess would be having parents get divorced would be way more traumatic than having gay parents. I blows my mind that anyone would be against gay parents specifically rather than abusive parents. In all honestly, the only people against letting gays have kids are dumb religious conservatives.
