Just finished reading Revelation 18 this morning.
The study notes explained that in Revelation, Babylon is John's metaphorical name for the evil world power and all it represents.
The study notes also say Christians are to live according to the values Christ exemplifies:service, giving, self-sacrifice, obedience and TRUTH.
My study Bible had a little table titled "How can a person keep away from the evil system?"
It suggested:
"1. People must always be more important than products.
2. Keep away from pride in your own programs, plans, and successes.
3. Remember that God's will and Word must never be compromised.
4. People must always be considered above the making of money.
5. Do what is right no matter what the cost.
6. Be involved in businesses that provide worthwhile products or services --not just things that feed the world's desires"
Why am I sharing this? Because early this morning I was griping to the spouse about how I wish we could peg the tax dollars we send in for just appropriate purposes.
Then I read this Chapter in Revelation 18.
Then I read the stuff in here about Ukraine and Q posts.
Then I start thinking (for myself), it doesn't matter about the taxes and the money stuff I was complaining about. Why do I fall in to that worry "trap"?
God provides. (I can attest to that.)
All Blessings Flow From God.
When I put my "everlasting attitude" on, I remember :
God is True.
God wins.
Babylon Falls.
